Introducing … the Everleaf Family

Our experiences as a family created our mission: fully natural herbal self-care products that soothe, heal and prevent reoccurring outbreaks. 

Everleaf Herbal is family-run and, among custom from our separate high street studio business set up in 2005, we were thrilled that many came to trust in our care and the relief that Everleaf Herbal products bring for themselves and their loved ones. Their encouragement means we now share with the wider world – ideally with you – so that you and those you care for no longer need to suffer discomfort or frustration with a range of medicines that may seem to treat symptoms yet leave underlying issues unresolved.

Our Inspiration

Raising our three beautiful children is a wonderful experience and, if you have family, you’ll know that can also be very stressful. Our middle child, Fiona, was born with a rare genetic disorder. She needed a tracheostomy at just ten days old.  She went through many more operations, over 20 before she was 8 years old.

Whilst Fiona and the family learned to live with the complications, one area which continued to cause concern was skin and hair issues. These were caused by her condition and the medical instruments in her body.

The tracheostomy would cause skin eruptions due to the medical bands rubbing on the skin. Fiona developed a serious rash on the underside of her arm. She also had scalp issues from difficulty in washing her hair after surgery around her skull.

Despite usage of products recommended by health professionals and over-the-counter solutions, Fiona’s exasperation with ongoing issues led to our increasing despair. Andrew revisited his prior study of herbal medicine to deepen his knowledge, to try and create a natural cream for Fiona.

Our Eureka Moment

It took time to develop and refine the first cream, as testing and product safety requirements are understandably rigorous. By now, the sore on the underside of Fiona’s arm had worsened, with the doctors recommending a steroid cream. We were reluctant to use this as Fiona had already been exposed to so many medicines. When Fiona first used the cream developed by Andrew, a lot of her discomfort in the area went away. Fiona continued to use the cream daily. Visual improvement wasn’t immediate, but the area was less painful and not as itchy. Relief mainly that it was no longer getting worse.

After a week, we noticed improvements: the bright redness had subsided and the irritated area had become smaller. This gave us a lot of encouragement! With continued use, the sore completely cleared up. It was amazing! Even better, no scar was visible. Moving on, further outbreaks were prevented.  Everleaf Herbal was now born.
